There is not one person I know that would not like to save money on their energy bills.  Let’s be honest, the cost of heating your home keeps is not getting any cheaper so you need to make sure that you don’t use any more than necessary.

Heating the hot water in your home can be expensive but, like most things you can keep the cost down and one way to achieve this is to make sure your hot water cylinder has a lagging jacket wrapped around it.

These insulation jackets are designed to reduce the heat loss and therefore reduce the cost of heating the water.  A good quality lagging jacket is not that expensive and can reduce heat loss of 60% or more.  That’s right… a massive 60% – I know you’re impressed.

So, how do you go about fitting a lagging jacket to your hot water cylinder?  Easy!  Just pop down to your local DIY store, or buy one online.  Just look for one that has the greatest insulation capabilities.  They are not that expensive, but don’t skimp here – do buy the best one available as you’ll save a lot more in the long run.
