DIY – How to Cover Water Stains on a Ceiling

If you’ve experience a burst pipe, or the sealant around your bath has eroded and water is seeping down the walls then the chances are you’ll get water stains on your ceilings below.

Water stains really do look awful and can totally ruin the look of your home.  Before you set about redecorating it’s a good idea to find the source of the problem and fix that first.  Once you’ve done that you can tackle those unsightly water stains.

One mistake most people make is they simply try and paint over the water stains.  This, unfortunately, will only temporarily hide the problem and within a short period of time the water stains will seep through the paint and show up again.
