DIY – How to Paint a Metal Gate

December 17, 2011 § Leave a comment

Is your garden gate looking a little tired?  Is the paint flaking off?  Is it showing signs of rust?

You have to admit that a metal gate looks pretty awful if it’s not looked after.  Luckily this is not a difficult DIY job to do and once it’s done, providing you’ve used a good quality paint, it can last for up to 5 years or more.

Personally I  hate to see a metal gate in a state of disrepair.  Have you ever entered a property with a rusty gate – that’s right you always end up with the rust on your hands.  So think about your family and friends and get that paint brush out this weekend.  Believe it or not, this job can be done in less than 2 hours – that’s how easy it is.

To help you, follow the instructions in the guide below.  You’ll have a great looking metal gate in no time.
